GEOTHERMICA Annual Meeting 2019 impression from Lisbon

Last week, the partners of the GEOTHERMICA consortium gathered for their Annual Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal. Hosted by Portugal’s Directorate General for Energy & Geology (DGEG), representatives from 12 countries and institutions, along with two regional governments, engaged in two days of productive discussions on the lessons learned and the future direction of GEOTHERMICA. The event concluded with a Stakeholders Meeting, featuring members of the Portuguese academia and industry, who showcased various localized district heating projects.

GEOTHERMICA has been a resounding success, underscoring the importance of geothermal countries pooling their resources to advance geothermal development in Europe and beyond.

The Second Call for Projects is anticipated to be announced in the summer of 2019
